Government to present AI as a subject in the following academic year

Students to have AI as a subject in class IX from the session 2019-20. The move intends to upgrade the multidisciplinary approach in educating learning and to sharpen the new generation.

Centre is has presented Artificial Intelligence (AI Engineer) as a subject in class IX from the session 2019-20 in the schools associated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Focus has likewise propelled a twelve hours Inspire module in which schools can take up with the students of class VIII. The declaration was made by the Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank'.

The move expects to improve the multidisciplinary approach in instructing learning and to sharpen the new generation.

Artificial intelligence for students:
  • The investigation material for instructing AI in classes VIII and IX has just been given to schools through the CBSE's site
  • To actualize the thought, CBSE has worked together with a few associations, for example, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Private Schools, and so forth.
  • Center led 41 preparing programs in schools associated with CBSE in different pieces of the nation. Around 1690 members including principals and instructors were prepared.
  • Artificial Intelligence has been presented in classes VIII, IX and X in schools associated with CBSE.
  • The choice to present Artificial Intelligence in the States and Union Territories will be taken by the separate Boards.
